ISLAMABAD: Foreign judicial delegations from Turkey, Nigeria, Libya,
USA and India participating in the "International Judicial Conference
2014" called on Chief Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jillani in his Chamber
before the inauguration of the Conference.

The conference is being held in the Supreme Court building,here on Friday .

The delegation of Turkey headed by Jsutice Dr. Alparslan Altan, Vice
President, Constitutional Court of the Republic of Turkey comprising
Justice Serdar Ozguldur, President, Court of Jurisdictional Disputes
Ankara , Turkey , Ms. Birgul Yigit, Rapporteur Judge, Court of
Jurisdictional Disputes of the Republic of Turkey and Ufuk Yesil,
Secretary General, Court of Jurisdictional Disputes of the Republic of
Turkey, delegation of Nigeria comprising Justice Kashim Zannah, Chief
Judge, Maiduguri, Borneo State, Nigeria, delegation of Libya
comprising Justice Jebril E.S Bin Saleh, Judge, Supreme Court of
Libya, Justice Farag A.M Ben Aesha, Judge, Supreme Court of Libya and
Abdul Basit Moftah El-Ashaal, Public Prosecutor, Public Prosecution of
Libya, delegation of USA comprising John Clifford Wallace, Judge of
the United States Court of Appeals Washington D.C, USA and Jeffrey A.
Apperson, Vice President, National Centre for State Courts, delegation
of India comprising Rakesh Munjal, Senior Advocate, Supreme Court of
India and Amarjit Singh Chandhiok, Senior Advocate, India met the
Chief Justice of Pakistan and discussed matters related to judiciary,
issues of mutual judicial interest and cooperation between the
Judiciary of Pakistan and their respective judiciaries.

Welcoming the foreign delegates, the Chief Justice of Pakistan thanked
them for attending the Judicial Conference 2014 and said that the
conference is an annual judicial event of Pakistani judiciary that
provides a common platform to International and National luminaries of
law, members of Bars and jurists to assemble and share their vision,
experiences and the best practices to evolve common strategies to
improve the system of Administration of Justice and to make it more
responsive to address the emerging challenges.

The delegates reciprocated the same sentiments and congratulated the
Chief Justice of Pakistan for holding and hosting such an
International event to enhance cooperation amongst the judiciaries of
different countries to take advantage of each others' wisdom and
experiences.

At the end of each meeting the Chief Justice of Pakistan presented
shields and souvenirs to delegates as gesture of goodwill.
